What is AWANA?
A Bible based program for boys and girls age 3 through high school whose purpose is to teach children to know, love and serve the Lord Jesus Christ. AWANA is focused on scripture memorization, with lots of fun games and activities added in. Your children will love AWANA!
Where does the name AWANA come from?
AWANA is an acronym that stands for “Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed.”This phrase comes from the Bible verse II Tim 2:15.
When does AWANA meet?
AWANA will be meeting on Sunday nights this year from 5:00-6:40 p.m. throughout the school year. AWANA does not meet during the summer months.
What are the costs?
Once children complete the entrance booklet for their club, parents are asked to purchase a uniform (shirt or vest) and a handbook for their child at a cost of approximately $25. In addition, clubbers are asked to pay $1 per week in dues to help cover the cost of awards and prizes that they will earn throughout the year. Dues can be paid in advance for the semester or on a weekly basis. Families with a financial need should speak with the AWANA commander about available scholarships. We do not want cost to keep any child from joining AWANA.
